The travel law team at YourHolidayClaims are aware of a suspected illness outbreak at Egypts Iberotel Palace, after a distressed holidaymaker has turned to us following their stay at the 5-star resort.
The holidaymaker told our specialist claims team, “I ended up on a drip and had injections as I was so dehydrated”, after becoming ill with severe sickness and diarrhoea at the resort.
After investigations into these allegations were made by the YourHolidayClaims team, it was revealed that further guests have also reported disappointing stays at the resort on the website TripAdvisor.
One holidaymaker wrote:
“My partner got very ill with gastritis for 8 days and needed 3 lots of prescribed tablets from the hotels pharmacy to kill the bacteria/parasite.
“Most people in the hotel, we talked to had all the same symptoms as my partner”.
Furthermore, another guest reported their horror at “human faeces in the sink” and “dark brown water running in the shower” following a pipe leak at the luxury resort.
They added that hotel management offered them an upgraded room and “anything they wanted” in order to “keep quiet” about the incident.
