British holidaymakers are continuing to report witnessing poor hygiene standards at the Iberostar Chich Khan in Tunisia.
In 2013 we were instructed by a group of 45 holidaymakers whose holidays were ruined by sickness at the hotel.
Despite this, it appears that hygiene and cleanliness issues are still affecting the Tunisian hotel.
One British holidaymaker commented on TripAdvisor: âIt was after one day that we saw the Thomas Cook rep to ask if we could move to another hotel.
âWe thought the hotel was grubby, there were areas that were ingrained with dirt, the walls in the bedroom were splattered with stains and some food could be seen left from the evening meal on the floor at breakfast.â
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, commented: âAfter the outbreak of illness at the hotel last year, Â it is very worrying to read more reports of poor hygiene standards.
âWhen food and hygiene standards are poor, holidaymakers are placed at much greater risk of experiencing food poisoning. This can lead to gastroenteritis, an inflammation of the stomach or bowels causing symptoms of sickness, stomach cramps, and diarrhoea.
âAnyone who has fallen ill on holiday at the Iberostar Chich Khan can contact myself or a member of our holiday claims team for expert advice.â
