Serious illness and hygiene breaches reported at the Houda Golf and Beach Club
A British holidaymaker has contacted the experts at Your Holiday Claims reporting to have suffered from a serious gastrointestinal infection during their 14-night stay at the Houda Golf and Beach Club.
The holidaymaker claimed that severe diarrhoea, vomiting and stomach cramps ruined their family holiday.
The holidaymaker also claimed to have witnessed a catalogue of hygiene breaches at the Thomas Cook promoted hotel.
Review site TripAdvisor is awash with comments describing a range of hygiene issues at the hotel.
In a recent review, one guest bluntly described the resort as “awful.”
“Awful all inclusive, awful food, awful drink,” they wrote.
Another guest reported that “the food could only be described as a gourmet experience but only if you had been in a Russian prison for the last 20 years.”
“The chicken and fly panini they serve at the pool side has more fly than chicken,” they continued.
The holidaymaker also alleged that cross-contamination is an issue at the hotel. They wrote, “The paninis are served by hand. The same hand that goes into the salad and then the ham and then the chicken and picks up the next bread roll. The best bit is that only one hand gets a rubber glove.”
