A British holidaymaker has recently contacted Your Holiday Claims after their family holiday was ruined by illness at the Royal Asarlik Beach Hotel in Turkey.
The family had experienced symptoms of stomach cramps, diarrhoea, and vomiting, thought to be caused by food poisoning.
The severity of the symptoms resulted in one family member being admitted to hospital. Unfortunately, further treatment was required upon their return home.
We are told that the family were not the only ones to have fallen ill during their stay at the Royal Asarlik Beach Hotel.
On the website TripAdvisor British holidaymakers have commented about the poor food and hygiene standards at the hotel.
Food at the hotel has been described as “inedible” and “often cold”. Others have reported finding “towels with yellow stains and sheets with old blood stains” on their arrival at the Royal Asarlik Beach Hotel.

“Food poisoning is one of the most common causes of illness on holiday. This is often the result of consuming undercooked or poorly prepared food which has been contaminated by bacteria such as salmonella, E. coli, or campylobacter.
“I hope that the tour operators and hotel management will investigate any reports of illness at the Royal Asarlik Beach Hotel in order to to ensure no further outbreaks occur.”
