At Your Holiday Claims we recently received an enquiry from a British holidaymaker who fell ill during their honeymoon at the Siva Sharm Resort & Spa in Egypt.

Many holidays have been ruined due to outbreaks of sickness and diarrhoea at the Siva Sharm Resort & Spa (formerly the Savita Resort).

British holidaymakers have commented on TripAdvisor, complaining of poor standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel.

One hotel guest described the food served as “disgusting” and “barely warm”. They warned others to “take sickness and diarrhoea tablets if you are unlucky enough to have booked here”.

One visitor stated: “The hotel has a clinic and it is well used with many guests suffering from sickness.

“I believe this is in part due to hygiene issues witnessed.”

Others have reported spending “10 of the 14 days ill with stomach cramps and diarrhoea”.
