Stomach illness plagues numerous stays at the IBEROSTAR Bavaro Suites  Â
- One holidaymakers honeymoon getaway is spoiled by sickness
- Others also reveal how their stays were also blighted by illness
- It is not too late to launch a claim if youve been struck by illness on holiday within the last three years!
The YHC legal team uncover a number of illness outbreaks at different holiday destinations each week, and this time the IBEROSTAR Bavaro Suites has founds itself under the sickness spotlight.
Former visitors of the five star resort have left unnerving reviews on the website TripAdvisor, which point towards the possibility of a recent illness outbreak at the hotel.
One distressed holidaymaker who visited the IBEROSTAR Bavaro Suites to celebrate their honeymoon last month, revealed:
âWe spent [our] honeymoon in the hotel Iberostar Bavaro in Punta Cana in the period from 5th November to 16th November.
âOn the last day my wife was in the hospital with severe [food] poisoning after visiting a restaurant, La Dorada, where we ate lobster.
âEverything happened on the day of departure, my wife had to spend half a day in hospital on a drip. The doctor recommended hospitalization, but we could not reschedule the flight. So we had to fly that day.
âHospital treatment cost 700 dollars not including the purchase of additional medicines. Our honeymoon and holiday experience [was] ruinedâ.
In addition to this another recent visitor of the Thomas Cook promoted hotel also commented on their partners battles with illness, as they posted:
âMy husband and I stayed at the Iberostar Bavaro Suites a couple of weeks ago with 8 other peopleâ¦it unfortunately ended horribly when my husband became violently sick in the lobby.
âWe were all (10 of us) waiting for our transportation to the airport to fly back home when my husband started vomiting continuously, sweating, shaking and borderline passing out.
âThe clinic told us he would have to go to the hospital by ambulance which we did…and his blood tests showed that he had a high level of bacteria in his stomach which they said could have been from the food or water (we did not drink tap water).
âEither way, we never left the resort while we were visiting so it had to be from something on the propertyâ.
Comments from our legal specialist
âIn recent times we have been made aware of a worrying number of claims, which suggest that winter breaks to the Dominican Republic are being spoiled by stomach illness.
âIf your holiday to the Dominican Republic begins to go downhill because of illness, then it is crucial that you report your condition to your tour operator.
âIt is also vital that you replenish any body fluids that are lost as a result of your illness, at you will be at a higher risk of becoming dehydrated in the warmer conditions.
