Reports are currently emerging of poor hygiene practices and an outbreak of sickness ruining holidays at Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
The luxury resort, promoted by Red Sea Holidays, promises âthe quality and attention to detail you would expect from the famous Hilton brandâ.
However several recent guests have taken to TripAdvisor to warn, âIf you are looking for any semblance of quality, value for money or sophistication, please avoidâ.
A British couple holidaying at the resort in July commented: âWe have just returned from a week at this hotel (2nd July â 9th July) and we could not wait to get home.
âThe food was at times inedible. Fish was sloppy and undercooked with that mouldy fish taste, chicken was also undercooked, on the other hand beef was indigestible, totally overcooked/boiled.
âWe sensed that some staff do know how bad the food is but are reluctant to comment.
âWe both suffered from extremely uncomfortable upset stomachs throughout.â
Another recent guest commented: âThe food on the whole was horrific, the same every night, the only saving grace was the breakfast.
âOn day 3 my other half fell very ill with stomach cramps and couldnt leave his bed for 2 days.â
Anne Thomson, Head of Travel Law at Your Holiday Claims, commented: âIt is disappointing to read such poor reports about Hilton Sharm Waterfalls Resort and I would strongly encourage that a full investigation takes place.
