In recent weeks, reports ofÂ ruined Mexican holidaysÂ at the five-star ClubHotel Riu Jalisco have been mounting.
One Facebook user bluntly labels the resort an âabsolute disgraceâ and lists his complaints as follows:
âWalked out of 3 restaurants due to lack of or hot food being stone cold even when the food was sent back it was given back to me cold again.
âHad to be movedÂ rooms due to hygiene issues with floor and bedding, leaking fridge my partner slipping on puddles of water, shower falling off the wall and hitting my partner on the head, and also being bitten by bed bugs (diagnosed by a doctor).
âSwimming pool and self-service drinks machines full of wasps alive and dead (disgusting)â.
Reviews on TripAdvisor are similarly scathing with one recently returned guest pleading for the hotel to be âshut downâ.
The disgruntled holidaymaker claims to have suffered from sickness during their stay and labels the food at the resort âterrible â¦ It was touched by everyone and not sanitary at allâ.
