British holidaymakers are reporting falling ill whilst staying at the Garden of the Sun Hotel in Turkey.
Many have reported poor food and hygiene standards within the hotels restaurant. Some holidaymakers have required hospital treatment after contracting suspected food poisoning.
The Garden of the Sun Hotel, which is promoted by tour operators including Thomas Cook, has received numerous complaints on the review website TripAdvisor.
A hotel guest from Glasgow stated that âhot food was never warmâ in the hotel restaurants and âEveryone in our party ended up with bad upset stomachs to the point where none of us wanted to eat in the hotel. One of our party became so ill that they ended up in hospital.â
Others have reported falling violently sick and unable to eat. The holidaymakers had to pay â120 lira for medicationâ.
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor, commented: âWe are concerned after reading reports of illness at the Garden of the Sun Hotel.â
âIt is vitally important that all hotels implement and maintain high food and hygiene standards in order to ensure that outbreaks of illness do not occur.â
âI trust the tour operators and hotel management at the Garden of the Sun Hotel will investigate the reports of illness in order to identify the source.â
âI would  urge anyone who has fallen ill during their stay at this hotel to contact myself or a member of our expert holiday claims team for advice on making a claim for compensation.â
