Suspected food poisoning causes holidaymakers to be hospitalised at the Coral Sea Holiday Village

At Your Holiday Claims we are currently receiving enquiries from British holidaymakers who have suffered gastroenteritis at the Coral Sea Holiday Village in Egypt.

One family was struck by the illness resulting in their daughter requiring hospital treatment. They received treatment through intravenous fluids and antibiotics after suffering severe dehydration.

Many others have reported contracting stomach bugs during their stay at the Coral Sea Holiday Village through the hotel review website TripAdvisor.

One holidaymaker stated that they suffered illness throughout the duration of their holiday with symptoms continuing on their return to the UK.

The hotel guests from Hertfordshire commented: “On day two I started to experience a bit of an upset tummy which soon progressed to severe diarrhoea, which was then followed by horrendous cramps in my stomach and nausea like I’ve never had before.

“My partner also suffered with the same symptoms also having severe headaches. For both of us this came in waves. One day we would feel okay but wake up the next day feeling so ill we wanted to come home.

“There were days we couldn’t talk, let alone eat and were bound to our room. This lasted the duration of our stay and even though are home we are still suffering.”
