Here at Your Holiday Claims we have been contacted by a British holidaymaker seeking holiday illness compensation after their stay at Blue Sea Costa Verde in Majorca was ruined by illness.

The holidaymaker reported suffering from “scrombroid poisoning”, a bacterial infection commonly caused by consuming spoiled fish, which left them hospitalised for the majority of their stay.

The three star Blue Sea resort has also gained negative attention from further unhappy holidaymakers on review website TripAdvisor, many of whom claim “dire” food ruined their stays.

One recent visitor wrote: “The food was dreadful, not much choice and everything just tepid.

“We went all inclusive and ate one lunch and one dinner, that was enough! We ate out.

Another unhappy holidaymaker commented: “We were served peas and sweetcorn for breakfast and burgers left over from the night before with carrots and tomato sauce on them.

“Suffice to say every single meal was a concoction of left overs from the previous meal.

“Most people refrained from eating the actual meals and stuck with the bread rolls, ham and cheese.”
