We have recently received an enquiry from a holidaymaker whose stay at the Jungle Aqua Park in Egypt was ruined by illness.
Other guests have taken to TripAdvisor to review their time at the hotel, with one holidaymaker stating that they suffered symptoms of gastroenteritis during their stay at the Thomas Cook promoted hotel.
They said: âAlthough the hotel boasts 7 restaurants, you could walk around them all and see the same food being cooked in each of them, and even at that, the food wasnt the best.â
âAfter a bout of gastroenteritis halfway through my fortnight Easter break, I ended up sticking to bread and bananas!â
A guest from Scotland commented: âMe and my wife spent two days never off the toilet, cost £30 from doctors, they even said most holidaymakers get it. I wish they could sort this out as it could be a nice place, got told it went downhill in the last three yearsâ.
And a guest from Middlesbrough recalled their daughter being served undercooked chicken at the resort, they said: âThe final straw came when my 4 year old daughter ate a raw chicken wing. The manager was more interested in giving us t-shirts and organising coffee to our room as compensation as opposed to stopping the chef serving more raw chicken and poisoning the whole resort!â
Head of Travel Law at Your Holiday Claims, Anne Thomson, said: âIt is very concerning to hear of guests becoming unwell at the Jungle Aqua Park. Reading reports of guests being served raw food is very unpleasant.â
âEating food that is raw or undercooked can lead to guests becoming extremely unwell and developing infections such as gastroenteritis.â
âI would encourage anyone who has had their holiday ruined by illness at the Jungle Aqua Park to get in touch with us as soon as possible to discuss whether you may be entitled to make a claimâ.
