Here at Your Holiday Claims we have become aware of several reports of illness and poor hygiene standards at the Royal Albatros Moderna Hotel in Egypt.
The four star luxury resort, set in Sharm El Sheikh, promotes an extensive food menu with “so much choice you simply won’t know where to start” alongside swimming pools, waterslides, and more.
However recent guests have flooded to TripAdvisor to warn others following disappointing stays at the resort, with one guest branding the resort “Sharm Hell Sheikh”
The reviewer commented “cockroaches on arrival put me right off”, before adding that hotel staff appeared “awful, arrogant and cocky”.
“My whole family of 11 got ill at least once! Ordering a McDonald’s to the hotel was the nicest meal I had during my stay.”
Another disgruntled guest branded the resort a “2 star holiday camp” and warned the pool was “not very clean…I contracted a water infection”.
Anne Thomson, Head of Travel Law at Your Holiday Claims, commented: “It would appear clear from the volume of reports that there has been a failing in hygiene standards at Royal Albatros Moderna.
“I would strongly urge the tour operator to undertake a full investigation and I would encourage anyone affected at the resort to seek expert legal advice.”
