Holidaymakers are reporting outbreaks of illness at the Holiday Village Majorca with many saying that they found food hygiene standards to be poor.
Families and children have fallen ill at the hotel suffering severe sickness and diarrhoea.
Recent visitors to the hotel have commented on the food and hygiene standards at the hotel through the review website TripAdvisor.
One holidaymaker reported that their entire family fell ill on holiday at the hotel. They commented: “We have just come back from the Holiday Village Majorca with mixed feelings. In fact, everything was four star plus. Until it was time for the food.
“It was a huge disappointment. The choice was limited and although edible, it was just not enjoyable.
“Sadly we had some concerns with the hygiene of the food due to all four of us, including my one year old daughter coming down on our last night with severe sickness and diarrhoea.
“It ruined the last day of the holiday as we were confined to our room on what was the hottest day. We were told that a few other people had been ill too.”
In May 2014 holidaymakers reported illness outbreaks at the Holiday Village Algarve in Portugal and the Holiday Village Benalmadena in Spain. In these cases, visitors to the hotel suffered from a range of gastric illnesses, with some suffering from skin rashes.
