We have been contacted by a holidaymaker who became ill along with his girlfriend whilst staying at the El Mouradi Club in Port El Kantaoui, Tunisia.
The couple had booked a 7 night all inclusive break at the El Mouradi Club in July with Thomas Cook.
Our client described the food as ´disgusting´ and both he and his girlfriend suffered symptoms of sickness and diarrhoea. âThe hotel was supposed to be all-inclusive but we had to pay for most drinks. We were told that other holidaymakers had to be treated via intravenous drip as they were so ill. We were relieved to get homeâ.He went on to say: âEveryone we spoke to at the hotel were suffering from the same symptoms.
âThe hotel was supposed to be all-inclusive but we had to pay for most of our drinks. The staff were rude, especially to my girlfriend, and our room was full of ants, our towel rail was hanging off and we found mould on the shower curtain.â
Anne Thomson, Head of the Holiday Illness Claims Department at Farnworth Rose said: âWe heard similar complaints of illness at the El Mouradi Club in September 2012 and it would appear this hotel has on-going problems with poor food and hygiene standards. Anyone who has been ill at the El Mouradi should contact us as soon as possible to discuss compensation.â
