Food poisoning at Ole Galeon

Your Holiday Claims recently spoke with a British holidaymaker who claims that his hard-earned Spanish holiday was ruined by illness at the San Miguel hotel, Ole Galeon.

Unfortunately, this does not appear to be an isolated incidence with reports of illness and poor hygiene standards also present on hotel review site TripAdvisor.

“Not a great experience,” writes one guest of her time at the resort adding that her boyfriend contracted “food poisoning” during their stay:

“We ate nowhere else except the all-inclusive hotel food.

“5 of our days were spent with him sick or feeling very weak.

“We were put off eating the food (understandably) for the rest of our holiday so were unable to eat much.”

Other guests have commented that prepared food was often “cold and tasteless” with one holidaymaker questioning kitchen cleanliness after discovering an “insect in the salad.”

Reports of a “sewage” smell in corridors and guest bedrooms are also common online.
