A lady whose holiday was ruined during her stay at the Xperience Kiroseiz Parkland hotel in Egypt has contacted our team of holiday illness lawyers for help to pursue a claim for compensation after suffering with symptoms of suspected food poisoning.
We have previously been instructed by holidaymakers who suffered similar illnesses during their stays at the Xperience Kiroseiz Parkland and their claims settled successfully. We are very concerned to hear of further cases of illness. There have been a number of complaints made on Tripadvisor about the shocking standards of food and hygiene in this hotel, particularly in recent months.
A lady from Birmingham who stayed at the hotel in September 2013 said: Its no surprise that, given the poor standards of cleanliness at this resort, a member of my family fell ill during our stay.
âMy husband had sickness and diarrhoea accompanied by severe stomach pains for a 4-day period during our first week. As he was in good health prior to our arrival, we can only presume that it was as a result of the food or drink in the resort.
âHe had taken the maximum dosage of medication allowed for this but was still not feeling better.
âEventually, someone obtained a stronger medication from the pharmacy for him and he recovered enough within a couple of days to participate in the rest of the holiday. He still suffered stomach cramps for the remainder of the holiday. We spoke to another couple whilst we were there and the gentleman we spoke to had suffered the same illness since arriving but had also spent 2 days on a drip!â
Anne Thomson, Head of Travel Law commented: âUnfortunately many holidaymakers can become ill, particularly in all-inclusive hotels.
âMany people, particularly those who suffer with stomach cramps, sickness and diarrhoea tend to put their symptoms down to the change in climate or as a result of the change in their diet, completely unaware that they are in fact a victim of food poisoning or are suffering from a holiday illness that has been contracted as a result of poor hygiene standards.
âI would urge anyone that has been unwell whilst on holiday at the Xperience Kiroseiz Parkland, Egypt, to contact us as soon as possible.
âWe have over 50 years experience in this area of law and with our expertise and background knowledge, we successfully handle many claims for compensation for British holidaymakers across the UK and help people to recover the maximum compensation they are entitled to if their holiday has been ruined as a result of a holiday illness.
âI hope in this case the relevant tour operators carry out a full investigation into the cause of the recent cases of illness to prevent people from becoming ill during their holidays here in the future.â
