Experts warn of complaints of illness at the Dreams Puerto Aventuras

There have been complains amongst British holidaymakers about The Dreams Puerto Aventuras all inclusive spa resort .Many who have recently returned from their dream holiday to Mexico have complained on TripAdvisor that their stay at the Dream Puerto Aventura hotel turned their “dreams into a nightmare”

One female holidaymaker  from Crewe said on TripAdvisor: “As an experienced traveller and on my fifth visit to Mexico, I thought I would try the “Dreams,” Experience. It turned out to be more of a nightmare!

She added: “My partner and I both ate at the Seaside grill for lunch the first day, and had seafood. We both became ill within hours, my food poisoning, cleared up within a couple of days, but my partner became very ill, and after several days required medical intervention. The hotel, reluctantly paid for the Doctor, ( many of the hotel guests were experiencing sickness and diarrhea,) but we had to pay the $145 cost of the drugs. So unfortunately, my partner lost the first week of our holiday”.

“The management did try hard to make sure the rest of our restaurant experiences were better, but in our second week, at the Restaurant round the Adults only pool, ( the only child free restaurant !) he was served, Mahi, a local fish–which was completely raw in the middle. By the time this was replaced–my meal was long since finished. Another meal ruined”

Commenting on this latest report, Tracy Stansfield, an experienced solicitor at Your Holiday Claims said: “If holidaymakers  have returned from their stay at the Dreams Puerto Aventura having  suffered from some form of gastric illness I hope that  a full investigation has been carried out the tour operators. Unfortunately however we may still read reports of holidaymakers  continuing  to become ill whilst staying at this hotel.

“I have read the reports on TripAdvisor of people becoming unwell due to alleged flaws in the standards of food and hygiene at this hotel and if there are such flaws, this could explain the recent outbreak of illness. The reports are that many holidaymakers may  have suffered symptoms of gastric illness and one of the most common causes of this is eating food which has not been cooked properly.
