‘Holiday Hell’ after sickness outbreak at the Tirana Aqua Park Resort in Egypt

Food poisoning has resulted in scores of British holidaymakers suffering symptoms of severe diarrhoea and sickness at the Tirana Aqua Park Resort in Egypt.

This follows a case in October, 2012 when a family of four who suffered severe symptoms of food poisoning at this hotel instructed us to handle their compensation claim against the tour operator. The family have recently been awarded £8,250.00 compensation.

The hotel is now the subject of another outbreak of food poisoning which has affected holidaymakers who stayed there in July and August 2013.

One holidaymaker who stayed at the hotel with 4 other adults and 3 children in August said on TripAdvisor: “Food in the snack bar was left exposed with flies crawling all over it. Dirty glasses were just rinsed under a tap and used to serve the next person. Everyone we spoke to at the hotel was ill. Our entire group of 8 people, including children were ill with stomach upsets, and we had to pay to change hotels.”

Thomas Cook, amongst other tour operators promotes and sells the Tirana Aqua Park Hotel.
