The family claim that they believed that up to 500 guests had been affected by the outbreak of sickness.

Recent visitors have also taken to TripAdvisor after holidays were left ruined by the sickness outbreak which have been reported to have swept through the hotel in recent months.

One holidaymaker from Canvey Island said of their stay:

“3 of our party were sick each for 2 days and it was not due to the heat as there was a bug going round. In fact one poor person was ill for 4 days. In the second week alone over 100 people had reported an illness”.

Another hotel guest claimed she was “sick 17 times in 24 hours” resulting in requiring an injection from a local doctor. However, the ordeal was far from over as her daughter fell ill and suffered from similar sickness on their flight home.
