Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel in Hurghada has suffered criticism from holidaymakers who have suffered alleged symptoms of gastric illness, just months after Your Holiday Claims last received enquiries from guests staying at Steigenberger Al Dau.
Steigenberger is promoted by Travel Republic. It is referred to as “a haven of sophisticated luxury”.
One guest complained “my partner and I became ill with stomach upset. After witnessing children helping themselves to the buffet and returning used cutlery to serving dishes – it came as no surprise”.
Other guests witnessed “Disposable nappies entangled in the coral in the sea of the private beach area”.
Dining was criticised by one holidaymaker who was served “bugs in salad and raw meat at the Oriental restaurant”, not unsurprisingly he said “we won’t ever go to this hotel again!”
Experienced solicitor Tracy Stansfield responded to apparent claims “It is concerning to learn of holidaymakers being served raw meat, just months after receiving enquiries of illness at Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel”.
“I would urge any holidaymakers who have suffered any form of gastric illness to consult their local GP immediately”.
