Just this week, we spoke to a British holidaymaker who claims to have suffered from an outbreak of sickness at the three-star Pineapple Beach Club.

In recent months, disgruntled guests have taken to review site TripAdvisor to complain of poor hygiene standards at the resort.

“I will never go here again,” comments a holidaymaker from Gravesend adding that “we have to eat our breakfast/lunch with birds flying over us, doing what birds do on you, on the seats/tables, taking food off your plates while your trying to eat.”

Alarmingly, the holidaymaker claims that in the evening, it is the turn of “stray cats” to invade the restaurant.

Another recent guest reports that she “had mice in the room and nothing was ever done about it” despite raising the issue three times.

Food quality is also highlighted by numerous guests as a cause for concerns with the dishes on offer said to frequently “lukewarm” and highly repetitive.
