Despite illness remaining under control at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort for the past 3 months, unfortunately it appears the hotel may have slipped back into old habits.
Reports of illness are still being posted on TripAdvisor. Guests have labelled their holiday as âdisappointing and awful.â
Although positive comments have been with regard to the complex itself, stating the âhotel room was clean and looked nice,â there has been a lot of negativity surrounding the food.
One couple commented on their torturous time at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort saying âthe food was absolutely awful, meat was not cooked properly.â
Regrettably, after only four days at the hotel both fell âseverely ill with food poisoning.â As their symptoms became progressively worse, they had to call for the doctor who put the couple on âa drip.â
The couple approached hotel management and their representative and complained about their âbad experienceâ and were eventually relocated to the Baron Palms Hotel.
A family of four also travelled for their annual holiday and have stated that the bed linen was not changed for their entire two week stay.
They also commented on the food served, advising it was ârepetitiveâ and the Italian restaurant was âalways dirty.â
The family has revealed that they have visited Egypt many times for their holidays and never suffered a âtummy problemâ until they stayed at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort. They have said âwe always used hand sanitiser and washed our hands regularly. We will stick to the Aqua Blu next time, it is an amazing hotel.â
Anne Thomson, Head of Travel Law at Your Holiday Claims, comments: âIt is disappointing to once again be reading of illness outbreaks at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort.â
âThe hotelier and tour operators promoting this property need to ensure that strict food and hygiene practices are adhered to.â
âI would urge anyone who has been affected by illness at the Reef Oasis Beach Resort to contact Your Holiday Claims, as it is clear this hotel is a repeat offender.â
