A disgruntled holidaymaker turned to our industry leading legal team, after their family’s two week stay at the five star resort was plagued by gastric illness.

Commenting on how they think they contracted the illness, they revealed:

“We picked up a bacterial virus caused by either the pool or hot drinks machine in the lobby area, we are still recovering from this 6 days later”.

The sickness that they ‘picked up’ persisted for about two weeks in total, leaving them to suffer from symptoms such as severe vomiting and diarrhoea for a considerable amount of time.

In addition to this, other former visitors of the Thomas Cook promoted have also made comments regarding the hotels lack of hygiene on the website TripAdvisor.

“We stayed at the Turquesa section of the resort. It has older rooms with cracked tile, missing grout, mould, stained mirrors, and dingy linens.

“The hot foods were not always hot, and the cold foods like cheeses and fruits were not cold.

“There were flies in the lines”.
