Holidaymakers have posted reviews on TripAdvisor after enduring a devastating stay at the Now Larimar in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

“Situated on a beautiful white sand beach, in an enviable location with gourmet restaurants and guest rooms with impressive views” is one of the ways British Airways promotes the Now Larimar, but guests dont seem to be as thrilled.

“Oh the food, where to begin?” started one guest. “It is terrible. It looks edible but it isnt. There is one spice used, and its salt – they either use a tonne of it, or none of it,” she said.

“My wife and I became sick during our stay and before it is suggested, we didnt drink the water, we avoided ice and only used bottled water to brush our teeth – it was unavoidable”.

“I became so sick after eating at the Now Larimar” said another guest. “It completely ruined my holiday. I didnt eat seafood, I didnt drink tap water and I never left the Resort” she said. “I became violently ill after eating in the steakhouse or buffet restaurant and lost half of my holiday due to sickness and fatigue.”

Another holidaymaker also reported sickness. “Our group of 14 have recently returned from Now Larimar and eight of us became sick, including two young children – we will not return” he concludes.
