“Shocking”, “Terrible”, “The worst hotel I’ve stayed in”, “Boring, dirty and dilapidated” are amongst some of the most recent comments holidaymakers returning from their stay at the Holiday Village in Sarigerme, Turkey, have made on TripAdvisor.
There have also been a number of reports from British holidaymakers who have said that they and their loved ones have contracted Gastroenteritis during their stay.
One gentleman from Swindon who stayed at the Holiday Village in Sarigerme in September 2013 with his wife and two children said:
“Unfortunately my son was physically ill, and we had to get clean bedclothes. Later that week my daughter got so ill that she was hospitalised with Gastroenteritis. Given that we only ate in the hotel – that is where I put the blame.
“The stress of leaving my wife and child behind (Insurance would only pay for 1 adult) was huge. Staff were helpful and said it was not a hotel wide problem – even though we met 3 other guests at the hospital”.
Another lady from London who stayed at the hotel in July 2013 said: My son spent 2 days days in hospital on a drip with severe gastroenteritis and ear infection. Reps look like they really can’t be bothered and one even yawned in front of me when I was asking for advice!”
Having looked into many reviews that have been posted onto TripAdvisor, it would appear the poor standards of food and hygiene at this hotel are more than likely to be the cause of many that have been ill during their stay here.

Many tour operators are renowned for offering holiday vouchers by way of an apology and they may be entitled to far more. This will only be achieved if a claim is pursued using the services of a highly qualified and experienced holiday illness expert.
