YHCs travel law specialists have been in contact with a recent guest of the Mestral and Llebeig Apartments, who claims gastroenteritis ruined their familys stay at the resort.
Commenting in further detail on the website TripAdvisor, the British holidaymaker revealed:
âMy wife and 3 young daughters arrived here on the 9th of July. Within 36 hours my 12 year old daughter contracted an awful vomiting and diarrhoea bug that has kept her in bed. My wife and I have now contracted the bug.
âThe rep was here last night and today for several hours dealing with complaints on the outbreak. Lots of shouting and upset by families in reception that caused upset with our children who were there. The food hygiene is not good we have asked to leaveâ.
In addition to this, unfortunately it appears that this guest is not alone in having their holiday ruined at the First Choice and Thomson promoted hotel.
Another holidaymaker also posted their feelings on TripAdvisor, and disclosed:
âFood bland and basic to say the least and very repetitive. Slightly off putting was the amount of bird poop on the chairs and tables in the restaurant and the birds did frequently land on tables.
âMy husband and I spent 8 hours at night vomiting /diarrhoea and feeling like death warmed up all day on our last day. We couldn’t leave the apartment but we did have to travel home that night which was horrendous!
âMy daughter went down with it as we were waiting at reception after vacating our apartment and she was sick outsideâ.
