A British holidaymaker has contacted the team at Your Holiday Claims after their holiday to Egypt was ruined by gastroenteritis.
Their stay at the Iberotel Palace in Sharm el Sheikh was first interrupted when they began to be affected by a stomach bug. Due to the severity of the illness, they were soon placed on a drip and provided with medication whilst on holiday.
In recent weeks, visitors to the Iberotel Palace have commented on TripAdvisor after being affected by suspected food poisoning. British holidaymakers were aware of hotel guests who were forced to visit a local doctor after falling ill.
One holidaymaker commented: âDuring our first week, 50% of the guests had a really bad tummy bug.
âMany saw the chemist or the doctor, some were put on a drip. The hotel said it was the temperature, but personally I think it was the food hygiene.
âWe saw senior staff selecting their food from the buffet with their fingers and replacing it back on display. One of these was chef!â
Others have reported being affected by âfood poisoningâ during their stay and added, âIt cost me an absolute fortune getting something to stop me feeling so illâ.
