Holiday ruined at Stella Di Mare Beach Hotel and Spa

All of the holiday party reported suffering crippling gastric symptoms that lasted the entirety of their stay. One member of the party was said to be severely ill and required treatment from a doctor; return flights to the UK were nearly cancelled over fears the affected holidaymaker would not be fit to fly.
Once back in the UK, all three holidaymakers reported that they continued to feel unwell and suffered from gastric symptoms for up to three weeks following their return.
Online reports from review site, TripAdvisor, warn of “dire” food standards at the hotel.
“Even the supposedly freshly cooked to order stations were serving things like pasta which had already been cooked once, left to cool and get a bit soggy, then reheated and then heated again […]” wrote one guest.
Another guest commented, “The food selection was of the worst I have experienced compared to the 7 other hotels we have visited in the last 2.5 years and the hygiene levels were of a poor standard. There were many flies on the food & flies would continually land on our food.”
An ant infestation was also reported by a concerned hotel guest who cancelled their stay and moved to an alternative hotel.
