Illness reported at the Meeru Island Resort
A British holidaymaker has contacted industry experts Your Holiday Claim after illness ruined their Maldivian escape at the Meeru Island Resort.
The afflicted traveller claims to have suffered from gastric symptoms during their stay including agonising stomach cramps and diarrhoea.
In a recent review on TripAdvisor, one guest raises concerns regarding food quality at the Meerufenfushi island hotel. The reviewer from Newbury describes the food as “average at best” and states that she was “not convinced how fresh the food was, with thick skins on sauces, flies landing on food and lukewarm dishes.”
A number of guests have also expressed their disappointment with hygiene at the island resort and claim to have been bitten by “bed bugs” during their stays.
