Here at Your Holiday Claims we have recently heard from another holidaymaker who has fallen ill whilst staying at The Grand Hotel in Sharm El Sheikh.
The guest said they suffered sickness and diarrhoea during their stay at the hotel and this is not the first time that we have received reports from visitors who have also suffered illness whilst there.
Guests have taken to TripAdvisor to review the hotel and have complained of illness and poor hygiene standards.
A visitor said: âWe have been to this hotel before and expected it to be as it was that time but it is not, the service has suffered drastically but more shocking were some of the things I saw like a chef handling raw beef with hands dripping in blood grabbing the cooked chicken and serving it to people.â
Another guest said they were âvery disappointedâ with their stay and continued: âThe hotel is impressive to look at. However the food was terrible. Generally reheated and the a la carte restaurants served your food less than three minutes after you ordered it.â
âEverything was reheated and the chicken was grey. I would not advise eating the food in this hotel.â
And a guest complained of food poisoning during their stay, commenting: âMy partner had food poisoning from raw chicken in one of the hotel restaurants and was very poorly for most of the holiday.â
âOn complaining to the hotel and Red Sea Holidays their response was that it is totally acceptable to serve raw chicken to their guests as they are busy. So my advice to anyone thinking of using Red Sea Holidays or staying at The Grand Hotel is dont unless you want severe weight loss.â
Anne Thomson, Head of Travel Law at Your Holiday Claims, said: âIt is worrying that we have received yet another enquiry after we reported on illness at the resort not too long ago.â
âI would encourage anyone else who has had their holiday ruined by illness at this hotel to come forward and give us a call to discuss making a claim.â
