Your Holiday Claims have recently heard from a tourist who is seeking compensation after falling ill at the Coral Sea Waterworld in Egypt.

The visitor said that three out of the four in their party fell ill while staying at the hotel and their symptoms have continued even after their return to the UK.

We have since been reading reports of illness at the resort from other guests who have reviewed their holidays on TripAdvisor.

A guest from Weymouth described the resort as “disgusting” and added: “We have just come back from a week at this hotel and we would never return, and were so thankful we didnt book for 2 weeks like we were going to originally.

“Mermaid restaurant had flies swarming around us whilst we tried to eat, and I scooped some of the tuna mayo onto my fork and found a long black hair in it which made me feel so sick we left and never returned to the mermaid.

“Stay away from the chicken fajitas in main restaurant they gave me an awful tummy upset , and I had to pay £15 for medication, as hotel are no help whatsoever when its their disgusting food that caused it!”

Another guest complained of poor hygiene at the hotel spa, they said: “One star would be too much as the showers are filthy, the doors are hanging off the walls in the changing rooms and the area where we had our treatments were very dirty with muck hanging off the drapes.”
