Food Poisoning Update: Grand Cettia Hotel, Turkey

sick sid

Following a recent phone call from clients who had suffered severe food poisoning symptoms at the Grand Cettia Hotel in Turkey, their children have now been confirmed as having contracted Salmonella.

The familys GP in the UK confirmed the illness after they had all suffered symptoms of crippling stomach cramps and vomiting.

They told us: “Sickness was rife in the hotel and many holidaymakers were suffering symptoms of vomiting and diarrhoea.”

Not everyone is aware that if they suffer sickness abroad in a hotel, they can claim holiday illness compensation when they return home.

Anne Thomson, Head of International Travel Law at YourHolidayClaims said: “Salmonella can have devastating effects, especially where children are concerned. Anyone who has been ill at a holiday hotel and suffered symptoms of gastric illness should get in touch to discuss a compensation claim.”
