At Your Holiday Claims we have recently been contacted by holidaymakers who have fallen ill at the Dessole Abou Sofiane Resort.
Numerous hotel guests have reported suffering stomach bugs, suspecting that food poisoning is the cause.
The Dessole Abou Sofiane Resort, which is promoted by tour operators including Thomson and Thomas Cook, has been criticised by visitors whose holidays have been ruined due to illness.
One hotel guest from Bolton commented: âAll food was terrible and I got food poisoning.
âI was ill for almost half the days of the holiday. Told Thomson of the holiday afterwards and received no response. Will not be booking with them again as a result.â
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, commented on the outbreaks of illness: âWe are concerned by the reports of illness at the Dessole Abou Sofiane Resort.
âWhen holidaymakers are exposed to poor food and hygiene standards, there is a considerable risk of suffering a serious illness.
âIn this case, it is suggested that holidaymakers have suffered food poisoning which causes gastroenteritis. Common symptoms include sickness, stomach cramps, and diarrhoea.
âWe would encourage anyone who has fallen ill on holiday at the Dessole Abou Sofiane Resort to contact us to discuss the merits of making a claim for compensation.â
