Other visitors to the hotel have commented on the review website TripAdvisor after illness ruined their holidays.
The standard of cleanliness at the Houda Golf and Beach Club has been questioned.
“Flies are a serious problem in the restaurant where they are crawling all over your food when eating.”
Hotel guests stated that they “suffered food poisoning” at the hotel with many others contracting stomach bugs.
Guest rooms at the Thomas Cook and Thomson promoted hotel have also been described as “dirty” and “grim”.
