Caribbean holidays plagued by illness at Hotel RIU Palace Jamaica
A sickness stricken British holidaymaker has turned to Your Holiday Claims for compensation advice after their five-star getaway at the Hotel RIU Palace Jamaica was ruined by illness.
Unfortunately, this does not appear to be an isolated incidence. Reports of Caribbean holidays curtailed by illness at the beachfront resort can also be found on hotel review site TripAdvisor.
“Got food poisoning,” states one honeymooning guest adding that both she and her husband were bedridden for much of their stay.
According to the afflicted traveller, doctor led tests on their return revealed that “food contamination” was the cause of their suffering.
Food contamination is highlighted as a major concern by another holidaymaker. The American guest claims that hotel guests are left with little choice but to dine in the outside areas where flies would “constantly attack.”
