Food poisoning causes widespread illness at First Choice Holiday Village Red Sea

Here at Your Holiday Claims we have recently spoken to a holidaymaker whose stay at the First Choice Holiday Village Red Sea has been ruined by illness.

Others who have recently visited the Holiday Village Red Sea have commented on TripAdvisor voicing concerns over the “atrocious” food being served in the hotel restaurant.

One holidaymaker from Macclesfield, who travelled to the resort with his partner, children and parents told us, “My wife, 3 kids and I were travelling with my elderly parents and thought it would be a relaxing break for them. How wrong we were as mother spent 4 days on a drip and father was in bed for 3 days – both with severe food poisoning.

“We went to the reps who gave us the impression that this bug was normal, which I find an outrage. We watched chefs cross contaminating the foods and dealing with different raw meats without washing their hands. We spent 8 days eating just bread and chips as they were the only things that we could trust.

“If this was a restaurant in the UK it would have been closed down immediately with a prohibition notice.”

This is not the first time that the Holiday Village Red Sea has come under scrutiny from visiting guests and we have been reporting on outbreaks at the hotel since 2011.
