A family of British holidaymakers have had their dream Spanish holiday spoiled following suffering illness at the Costa Brava hotel, H Top Gran Casino Royal.

The affected holidaymakers claim all four members of the holiday party were struck down with sickness, diarrhoea and stomach cramps during their stay at the three-star hotel.

In addition to this, online reports are highly critical of the hygiene standards employed at the hotel.

Writing on TripAdvisor, one concerned guest advised:

“Avoid like the plague … the food is pretty much inedible and I would seriously question the health and safety practices of the kitchen.

“Avoid the food from in the snack bar as it is generally recycled from the breakfast leftovers and left under the heat lamps all day.”

Moreover, other holidaymakers have voiced their concerns regarding “dirty” guest bedrooms. One reviewer wrote, “I think its safe to say that its a shared opinion on the fact that this hotel is rubbish, dirty and by far the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in”.

In a particularly derisory comment, one reviewer concluded that “the hotel should be demolished”.
