An 80 year old lady and her family who travelled to the Oriental Resort in Sharm el Sheikh have reportedly had their long awaited family holiday ruined as result of suspected food poisoning.
The ladys son, Peter, commented on TripAdvisor: âMy family have all been very ill.
âI have now been home 8 days and havent been able to go back to work. The same goes for another member of our group.â
The family found that their complaints to the holiday representative went ignored and they were refused a late checkout.
âWe complained to Rachel but didnt find her very helpful apart from telling us where to get tablets for our sickness and upset tummies.
âRachel informed us of a meeting that was being arranged to improve the food and service but she also promised us a late check out.
âThis wasnt until 3pm which my 80 year old Mother found very difficult to attend due to sickness and tummy upset.â
Many other holidaymakers have also reported being affected by illness during their stays at the Oriental Resort.
Terrianne from Rugby, who travelled to the resort with her partner and three young children, was amongst those who affected.
Terrianne stated her family âwould never returnâ and warned others not to go âunless you want to be sickâ after her partner was confined to their hotel room for most of their stay.

âPeople work and save hard all year round to be able to afford to go away on holiday and it is unacceptable for them to be taken ill and return home with ongoing symptoms.
