A family who stayed at the Club Hotel Tonga have complained on TripAdvisor of contracting a âsickness bug.â
The family of seven consisted of five adults and two children and one member commented âmy son and his family had not been away for four years.â
Although the family from Blackpool has not commented on the cause of their illness, they have stated that âsix members out of seven in their party fell ill with diarrhoea and vomiting.â
The family have told how they were confined to their beds. As the party members all fell ill at different times they said âwe were hardly together as we had to take it in turns to sit in room with poorly children.â
Unfortunately the family had no warning of the âsickness bugâ and have commented âwe did not know about the sickness bug until we were unlucky enough to get it.â
âIt was very unpleasant and to say it spoilt our holiday is an understatement.â
âWe were so excited and had worked so hard to save for it, we are so disappointed and two have still not recovered yet.â
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, comments: âThe fact that people are still contracting âstomach bugsâ at the Club Hotel Tonga is unacceptable.â
âBritish holidaymakers should be able to enjoy their holiday instead of being confined to their rooms because of hotel failings.â
âI would hope that the hotelier and tour operators promoting this hotel are taking this matter seriously.â
