Diarrhoea and vomiting ruins family celebration at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites, Jamaica
A British holidaymaker has contacted the experts at Your Holiday Claims after diarrhoea, vomiting and severe stomach cramps completely ruined a family holiday at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites.
The holidaymaker reported falling ill days into their 10-day stay and claims that they continued to feel unwell for the duration of the holiday, leading to cancelled excursions and ruined birthday celebrations.
A doctor was called to treat the holidaymaker at the resort and medication was prescribed to ease the illness symptoms.
Alarmingly, the holidaymaker reported that other guests were also ill during their stay.
Comments on TripAdvisor have suggested that there has been an issue with food hygiene and preparation at the hotel. One guest even reported to have been served “tapeworms” as part of the buffet selection.
“It was disgusting. I was sick for two days and was afraid to eat anything else for the rest of the holiday … I cannot fully explain the horror it was to go through,” she wrote.
