“The dreaded bug” strikes again at the Liberty Hotels Lykia in Turkey

The team at Your Holiday Claims have recently received an enquiry after four people were struck by illness at the Liberty Hotels Lykia in Turkey.

Outbreaks of illness appeared to plague the hotel throughout the summer of 2014. In October 2014, we were instructed by members of a wedding party who had fallen ill at the hotel.

More recently, holidaymakers have continued to comment on TripAdvisor after falling ill during their stays.

One recent visitor stated: “My wife and I were struck down with ‘the bug’ – violent vomiting and diarrhoea.

“We saw more than one holidaymaker vomiting in the in the Marina restaurant. Virtually everyone you talk to has had it or a member of their travelling party has.”

The holidaymaker added, “We certainly won’t risk a return” as they believed the bug was “a major management and travel company issue”.

Another guest reported suffering symptoms of “the dreaded bug” and paying for antibiotics after their child contracted an ear infection at the hotel.
