Enquiries received as sickness bugs continue at the Sol Mirlos Tordos in Majorca

Here at Your Holiday Claims we have received an enquiry from a British holidaymaker whose family was affected by sickness at the Sol Mirlos Tordos in Majorca.

We have previously reported on the hotel in September 2014 after we were contacted by holidaymakers who experienced similar symptoms including vomiting and diarrhoea.

Recently, visitors to the hotel have commented on TripAdvisor stating that outbreaks of illness had led them to make a “formal complaint to Thomas Cook”.

One holidaymaker reported noticing a “bug going round the hotel the week we went”. They believed that “the staff knew but couldn’t get on top of it”. They added, “Everyone you spoke to in the hotel had a member of their family poorly”.

A repeat visitor to the hotel commented: “My wife, daughter and grandson (13 weeks old) have all become ill with sickness and diarrhoea. They weren’t the only ones with these symptoms.”

“People were telling the staff that some of the food wasn’t cooked properly and just being ignored by the restaurant staff. I am sure I won’t be the only one complaining about the food.”
