British holidaymakers are continuing to report widespread outbreaks of illness ruining holidays at Le Royal Holiday Resort in Sharm El Sheikh.
In July, we reported on a British have holidaymaker whose son needed âtwo injections for gastroenteritisâ after he became ill at the resort.
Furthermore, holidaymakers are now flooding to TripAdvisor to air serious complaints about the hotel following more ruined holidays and severe bouts of illness.
A recent hotel guest, who was forced to fly home 4 days early due to illness, commented: âI was so very ill, despite going to hospital and seeing 2 different doctors.â
âWe had no choice but to get early flights home, so I could be seen by our own NHS care.â
The illness stricken holidaymaker and his wife were put in isolation at Bath A&E and âdischarged after 10 hours with a diagnosis of E. coliâ.
Further reports have also highlighted âa strong smell of sewerageâ and âpools closed due to contaminationâ at the five star resort.
Anne Thomson, Head of Travel Law at Your Holiday Claims, commented: âIt is very worrying to hear reports of a holidaymaker contracting E. coli whilst staying at Le Royal Holiday Resort.â
âI would encourage the tour operators promoting this resort to take immediate action to investigate the cause and to ensure that further guests are not affected.â
