Domina Coral Aquamarine Holiday “Nightmare”

A British holidaymaker who contracted Campylobacter during their stay at the Domina Coral Aquamarine hotel, Egypt, has turned to us for help to pursue a claim for holiday illness compensation.

The lady became ill whilst on holiday in September 2013, suffering with severe pain, stomach cramps, and diarrhoea and vomiting.

On return to the UK she received confirmation that she had contracted campylobacter infection.

Campylobacter infection is a bacterial infection that can affect anyone but it is most common amongst young adults and children under the age of 5. Its symptoms can be more severe in the elderly, or those who have weakened immune system and usually contracted through cross contamination, by food handlers and inadequate cooking of food.

Another British holidaymaker who also encountered problems during their stay at the Domina Coral Aquamarine hotel said on Tripadvisor: “The lack of hygiene throughout the complex could lead to severe health problems.

“The restaurant needs closing down and deep cleaned. I witnessed cockroaches by the coffee machine, birds drinking from the slop trays of the water dispenser then walking all over the bar area. electric cables of drink coolers within easy reach of children and many, many, other problems.
Open drain covers, broken glass, etc.

“I have photos to prove the above and have passed them on to legal representation.
Ive been to some “rough” hotels in the past but have never felt the need to write bad reviews but this hotel needs closing or some serious cleaning”.

“Based on the feedback from holidaymakers who have raised their concerns, it would appear there could be a number of reasons why people have been returning to the UK unwell and left bitterly disappointed by the way they have been mistreated.

“I would urge anyone who has been ill whilst on holiday at the Domina Coral Aquamarine hotel in Egypt to seek medical attention straight away or from their GP and contact us as soon as possible for help to make a successful claim for compensation”.
