Destination wedding disaster as 29 out of 31 guests become ill â at Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe

A wedding party at Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe in the Dominican Republic reports 29 out of their 31 guests were struck down with âfood poisoningâ whilst staying at the resort.

The five star Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe in Punta Cana is a popular location for destination weddings and celebrations, with several large parties of holidaymakers staying each year.

For one unfortunate couple however, their dream wedding became a nightmare leaving them battling illness for their majority of their honeymoon.

The newlyweds posted on TripAdvisor: âOut of the 31 of us, 29 people got food poisoning. One of our guests was hospitalised with salmonella poisoning.

âThe only 2 people who didnt get sick are vegetarians. I dont know what they are doing in the kitchen, but my husband and I spent our dream wedding/honeymoon fighting over the bathroom.

âWe are still all sick, and I keep getting texts from family and friends saying that they are not able to keep anything up or down since theyve been home. This was 2 weeks ago.â
