Having previously reported on outbreaks of illness at the Viva Sharm Hotel in 2014, we are concerned to note that British holidaymakers have again been reporting major failings in the food and hygiene standards at the Viva Sharm Hotel in Egypt.
Numerous visitors to the hotel have commented on the review website TripAdvisor after their winter getaways were ruined.
One hotel guest stated that âthis hotel spoilt my Christmasâ, whilst another described the Viva Sharm Hotel as the âworst hotel Ive ever stayed inâ.
Another recent visitor to the hotel commented: âFood is basic with the same food served constantly for breakfast, lunch and tea. Sometimes probably leftovers from the meal before just reheated.â
Holidaymakers have also reported that ânumerous people were injured due to the uneven pavement in the hotel groundsâ.
Tracy Stansfield, an experienced holiday claims solicitor at Your Holiday Claims, commented: âIt is always a concern to hear of holidaymakers being exposed to poor food and hygiene standards within all-inclusive hotels.
âWhen such standards are poor, there is a greater risk of food poisoning outbreaks occurring.â
âI would urge anyone who has fallen ill during their stay at the Viva Sharm Hotel to contact myself or a member of our holiday claims team for expert advice on the merits of making a claim.â
