A British family have turned to us for help in claiming compensation after discovering their two children had contracted cryptosporidium during their two weeks stay at the three star hotel in Almeria.
The family of five travelled to the Evenia Zoriada Park along with four other families and friends to spend their summer holiday together.
During their stay, they were all struck down with illness and suffered from sickness, diarrhoea, stomach cramps and nausea. Their long awaited holiday was completely ruined.
The family sought medical attention upon their return to the UK and whilst the adults stool samples were negative, two of the childrens tested positive for the presence of cryptosporidium. Test results for their third child are still awaited.
There are reports of many more holidaymakers being affected.
Tracy Stansfield, a solicitor at Your Holiday Claims comments: âPeople who contract cryptosporidium and have healthy immune systems tend to suffer with symptoms for up to two weeks but where children are concerned, it can cause them to become very poorly indeed and if the illness is not treated quickly, can result is hospitalisation.â
âThe most common cause of cryptosporidium is contaminated water.
âI am deeply concerned and saddened to hear of the outbreak of cryptosporidium at the Evenia Zoriada Park and I hope the children affected recover quickly.â
âWe are currently assisting the family and others who have turned to us for help in claiming compensation. I urge anyone else who has been affected by illness during their stay at the Evenia Zoriada Park to contact either myself or another member of our team to for professional help on how to make a claim for compensation.”
