Our holiday claims team have discovered multiple reports of illness from recent weeks at the Mexican Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun resort.
Commenting on the hotel reviewing site TripAdvisor, one disgruntled June 2017 guest claimed they suffered from food poisoning during their stay before adding:
âA few days into the holiday me and my partner were both very unwell. [We] spent 2 days in bed!
“We spoke to a few people who were also very unwell. Being a foodie this was not ideal! I had to be careful the whole holiday and stayed clear of the meat.
“We attempted to go to the doctors but there was a sign on the door ‘doctors not included in all inclusive’ so to avoid a big bill we stuck to Imodium and Nurofen and just drunk bottled water (no ice) I would recommend this hotel, but just be very aware with what youre eating from the get goâ.
In addition to this, it seems more recent guests of the Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun have also been affected with another reporting:
âI got a “gippy” stomach for two days and couldn’t eat anything and this was only stopped when someone gave me some Imodium.
âAlmost all of the people we talked to had had a similar problem at some time thereâ.
