“Food poisoning” reported at Insotel Punta Prima Resort

Your Holiday Claims have recently been contacted by a British Holidaymaker seeking compensation after illness ruined their stay at the Insotel Punta Prima Resort.

The holidaymaker suffered from agonising diarrhoea and vomiting thought to be caused by campylobacter food poisoning.

Several guests have reported falling ill at the hotel on review site, TripAdvisor.

One stricken holidaymaker claimed that their entire family, including their 11-month old baby, fell ill with “suspected food poisoning” during an October 2015 stay.

They reported that they “called the doctor out in the early hours” out of concern for their child.

Another hotel guest claimed that it was no “surprise” he and his partner “had sickness and diarrhoea” during their stay at the Insotel Punta Prima Resort as the food served was “cold.”

They also claimed to have witnessed flies landing on the prepared food with no attempt made to control insect contamination.

“…Fly in your soup is an understatement. Never nice to see so many all over the food youre about to eat. These so called fly traps that the hotel claim to have must be the invisible kind.”

Alarmingly, one holidaymaker reported that “the meat cooked on the grill was invariably pink, especially the pork and chicken.”
